DESIGN WITH CHARACTER
ILLUSTRATION

Atlantis: A Night at the Tavern
I wanted this tavern scene to feel busy without losing the smaller conversations. The warm light draws you in, while the mix of characters suggests a much larger world outside.

Atlantis: The Traveling Scholar
This character carries an entire library into a landscape that seems to invite discovery. I love the contrast between the heavy pack and the light, floating books. A library on its back just made it magical from the start.

Dungeon Crusade: Discovery Cards
I wanted these cards to make every turn feel like it could reveal something new. A dark passage, a crystal, a hidden room, and the wonder of which item you may discover. Each offer a different reason to keep exploring.

Dungeon Crusade: Adventure Cards
This set let me move between danger, magic, and celebration while keeping the cards part of the same world. Each illustration needed to represent the type of card set it belonged to. I wanted the players to find each one memorable as they might see them over and over.

Dungeon Crusade: Enemy Cards
For these cards, I wanted each step up from minion to guardian to feel more threatening. The skull motif ties them together while giving each rank its own presence. The largest Guardian car needed to feel the most imposing and largest enemy when it showed up.

Heimerdinger
I wanted to capture one of my favourite League of Legends heroes in full haunting glory. A scene full of tools, machines, and energy is exactly right for him. The warm lights against the purple forest make it feel extra powerful.

Age of the Rats
This idea started with wondering what the future could be like when humans are gone and rats have evolved to take our place. I also really like the contrast between this determined traveler and the huge, sunbaked landscape. The approaching train makes us feel like we are about to be exposed.

Mindflayer
I was given the task of inventing a Mindflayer and having it connect to a cannabis product. I made his tentacles out of cannabis leaves. The symmetry makes it really amazing while the name brings the cool chaos.

Wisdom of the Deep
I wanted the meeting between the diver and the fish to feel like wisdom was being given. Floating in water is already magical, being taught by a wise old fish is amazing.

The Lamp Man
The idea of a lamp for a head made me laugh. In fact this is a real lamp I used to own. That mix of absurdity and toughness is what makes him fun to me.

The Rabbit King
I had fun making this make believe king telling his grand story to the cheering rabbits and patient frog. I liked the fun fantastical quality of it all.

Sweet Gold
I wanted the discovery to feel as much about the miner’s expression as the gold itself. His delight gives the scene its energy.

Bahama Triangle Drop Illustration
This launch image was a chance to make an everyday delivery feel like an adventure. The bright islands and falling crates give it a playful sense of motion.

Colossus
I wanted the force of this moment to come through at a glance. The broken column and flying soldiers give the central figure a scale that feels larger than life.

Thanatos: Spidermite Eliminator
The goal here was to make a product ad impossible to overlook. Turning the name into a fiery character gave the message a bold, theatrical edge.

Viiola Bloom: Glow Album
I liked pairing the degraded jagged robot head degrading in a forest and with a warm light coming from within. It makes the album cover feel mysterious and inviting at the same time.

Green Hornet Ad Illustration
I wanted this insect to feel almost electric. The glowing wings turn a familiar shape into something otherworldly.

Barn Growing Poster
I like the quiet moment between the elk and the lit barn. The scale of the animal, the falling snow, and that small pool of warmth make the scene feel both wild and welcoming.

Dead Before Dawn: Crossroads Mall Game Poster
For this poster, I wanted the mall to feel like the center of a story already in motion. The crowded cast and burning sky give it the energy of a survival film.

Atlantis: A Departure Interrupted
This chapter image is built around the moment just before a decision turns into action. The packed bag and the figure in the doorway leave the tension hanging.

The Speaking Town Book Cover
I wanted the town to feel like a character in its own right. The autumn street and the older settlement on the back cover suggest a place with a long memory.

Delayed Reunion Book Cover
The open water gave me a way to show both isolation and reflection. I wanted the cover to feel still, even though the sea is moving around the figure.

The Evolution of bats
I had fun leaning into the strange humor of this collection. The little crowned character gives the cover personality before you’ve read a page.

Entangled Book Cover
I wanted this cover to carry the weight of a difficult, personal story. The figure’s expression and the worn textures give it a quiet tension.

Self Taught: 5 Year Journey Album
For this album artwork, I wanted the cover to feel energetic and lived in. The record, bikes, and city setting give it the feeling of looking back on a journey with friends.
